What Happened Today?
DAY 9: CATHERDANIEL TO SNEEM
Weather today is cool and looks like it could rain at any time.
We ordered a pint of Smithwick’s and 10 spicy chicken wings.. really good!!! The Irish girl waiting on us (15 or 16 years old), was born in Texas and headed for a rowing tournament at 6:00 PM.
Then we walked to the Sneem House which was also a Pub and convenience store. The bartender poured us a pint of Guiness instead of Smithwick’s. He was not very friendly.
Then we walked to the Red bull (it started to rain) and ordered one more Smithwick’s with dinner. Kay asked for a beef patty with cheese and tomato… or as we call it… a cheeseburger. I asked for lasagna with real Irish beef. They talked us into splitting an order of butter & bread pudding. All the food was good. The girl who waited on us was from New Zealand on a work Visa in Ireland.
We walked back to the B&B in heavy rain. In bed by 9:30 PM.
