What Happened Today?

My birthday.

Tried to find Black Mountain to hike the trail… no luck.

Drove to Torrey Pines. The beach access trail was washed out.

We went to Hennessey’s for lunch and Bass Ale.

Drove to Mom’s house. We all went to the ballpark to watch Keith and Lee Ann play softball. Fun time.

We left around 4 PM to go to Keith and Lee Ann’s house but instead went to the Interpreter with Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman. Good movie.

Back to the Hungry Stix for chicken quesadillas and barbecue wings.

Took mom home and said our good-byes.

Drove to the hotel and in bed around midnight.

Friday 04/29/2005 Clearwater, FL Day 3555

What Happened Today?

Yvonne took us to the airport.

Southwest flight left at 10:30 AM. We flew to Birmingham, St. Louis (an aborted approach due to a plane on the runway.), Kansas City and then San Diego. View of the San Diego area from the airplane window always inspires me.

Weather is cool… 65 degrees. We arrived 30 Minutes late at 4:30 PM.

Some of our luggage was wet.

We checked into the Pacific Terrace and hung up our wet clothes.

We had rented a Taurus car from Avis.

We drove to Keith’s house. Mom, Kay and I went to the Hungry Stix for cheeseburgers and 2 pitchers of Smithwick’s.

Back to the hotel around 12 PM.

We never had a trip where the plane made 4 stops.

What Happened Today?

Yvonne’s birthday.

Drove from Sierra Suites to a local deli… Mushroom and egg wrap.

Then we drove to Degussa for training on Cross Linkers for Polyurethane paints & Coatings. Training lasted from 8:00 AM until 2:30 PM and included lecture and lab time. Good session.

Talked to Ben Riggio and John Kehmna about my eye surgery.

Set dinner with Greg Hertenberger/ISP. We met Greg and Dan Brown at TGIF’s Friday for beer then went next door to an Italian restaurant for dinner.

Back to the hotel around 8:30 PM.

Watched American Idol. Missed songs by Carrie and Beau. The judges weren’t very complimentary of any performance.

What Happened Today?

Kay, Jen and I went to see Chris. We played 5 Crowns. Another inmate’s girlfriend, Sue (Doug) followed us home to help Kay set up Chris’s pictures on a pen pal site.

Dinner at Cracker Barrel.

Red Sox beat the Devil Raya who are now 8-11 and are tied with the Yankees for last place.

What Happened Today?

Scott’s birthday. He’s 36.

Feather Sound Walk with Kay and Ian.

Met with Bill Cheek from Zemex, who bought Oglebay Norton. He wants us to switch to his attapulgite product and drop Floridin.

Stopped at Westshore Mall to get Yvonne 4 books and cigarette case for her birthday.

Took Kay and Yvonne to Cody’s for Yvonne’s birthday.

Ordered flowers for Jen to be delivered to her job at Ann Taylor at Tyrone Mall.
